Get started with mobile app testing in Ptero.

Explore Sample Projects #

Use sample projects to explore the testing process before creating your own project.

1. Select Mobile App from the Ptero sidebar.
2. Choose BBC News or Saucelabs XCUIReference.
3. Click Run Test and select Autonomous Test Suite.
4. Review the test execution results.

1. Create Project #

1. Select Mobile App from the Ptero sidebar.
2. Click Create New Project.
3. Upload your app file or enter the app ID.

2. Set Up Test Suite #

Choose a test suite for your project.

• Autonomous Test Suite: AI explores the app automatically.

• Scenario Test Suite: Runs scenario-based tests created in Stego.

3. Run Tests #

Run tests immediately or schedule them for later.

• Run now: Click Run Test to execute once.
• Scheduled runs: Set up tests to run automatically on a schedule.

4. Review Test Results #

After a test finishes, review the results and details.

• Test Results: Passed, Failed, Warning, Stopped, etc.
• Test history: Step-by-step logs and screenshots.
• Test details: Test name, duration, devices, and more.
