Get started with mobile app testing in Ptero.
Explore Sample Projects #
Before creating your own project, you can explore Ptero’s testing process using sample projects:
- Select Mobile App from the Ptero sidebar
- Choose “BBC News” or “Saucelabs XCUIReference”
- Click Run Test and select Autonomous Test Suite to run
- Review the test execution and results
1. Create Project #
- Select Mobile App from the Ptero sidebar
- Click Create New Project
- Upload your app file or enter app ID for testing

2. Set Up Test Suite #
Choose your Test Suite:
- Autonomous Test Suite: AI explores your app automatically
- Scenario Test Suite: Scenario-based tests created with Stego

3. Run Tests #
Run tests now or set up scheduled runs:
- Run now: Click Run Test to run once
- Scheduled runs: Set up tests to run automatically on a schedule

4. Review Test Results #
After the test finishes, you can check:
- Test Results: Pass, Failed, Warning, Stopped, etc.
- Test history: Step-by-step logs and screenshots
- Test details: Test name, duration, devices, etc.
