Stego runs in your browser, but Stego Desktop needs to be installed separately.

System requirements #
Stego Desktop runs on macOS and Windows.
Note
Linux isn’t supported.
macOS
- OS: macOS Ventura or later
- Processor: Apple silicon (M1 or later)
- Memory: 4 GB RAM or more
Windows
- OS: Windows 10 or later
- Processor: Intel i5 or AMD FX series or higher
- Memory: 4 GB RAM or more
Install on macOS #
- Go to the Stego download page and click Download Stego for macOS.
- Double-click the downloaded
.dmgfile. - Drag Stego.app into your
Applicationsfolder. - Launch Stego from Launchpad or Spotlight search.
Install on Windows #
- Go to the Stego download page and click Download Stego for Windows.
- Double-click the downloaded
.exefile. - If Windows Defender SmartScreen appears, click More info, then Run anyway.
- Follow the installer prompts to complete the installation.
Default install path: C:\Program Files\Stego\Stego.exe
Add a license #
A trial license is preloaded by default, so you can start using Stego right after installation.
If you haven’t registered a license file (.lic), Stego shows the license screen the first time you launch the app.
Drag and drop your license file, or click Upload File to upload it. Click Register to finish.
Sign in #
Sign in with your Apptest.ai account — email, Google, or GitHub.
Don’t have an account? Sign up first.
Manage your license #
In your profile menu, go to Settings to check your current license. To replace it, click Reset License and drop in a new license file.
