Use the Device tab to view and control the connected device screen.
The Device tab includes screen analysis, basic controls, text input, screenshot capture, app management, and connection refresh features.
Button positions and icons may change by version, so this document explains each feature by purpose.
Use the Device tab to control the screen, and use the UIObject Selector tab to review UIObjects for scenario steps.

When a Local Desktop is connected, the Device tab is unavailable.
For Local Desktop, use the Record tab to control the screen and record scenario steps.
Analyze the Screen #
Use screen analysis (AI button) when you need to find UIObjects on the current screen.
Run the screen analysis feature from the Device tab. Stego opens the UIObject Selector tab, where you can review UIObjects detected by AI and use them as targets in scenario steps.

Use Basic Controls #
Use basic controls to operate the connected device screen.

| Recent apps | Use when you need to check recently used apps. | The recent apps list opens. This feature is available on Android only. |

| Lock / Unlock | Use when you need to lock or wake the screen. | The screen is locked or unlocked. |

Enter Text #
Use text input when you need to fill a text field on the device screen.
Before you start #
Select the text field on the device screen and make sure the keyboard is visible.
Steps #
- Run the text input feature from the Device tab.
- Enter the text to fill in the selected field.
- Click Send.
Check the result #
The text is entered in the selected field on the device screen.
When the device keyboard is active, you can also type from your computer keyboard to enter text in the selected field.

On iOS devices, the keyboard for password fields may not appear on the screen due to Apple security restrictions.
Use Work Tools #
Use work tools to save the screen, check app information, install or remove apps, and refresh the connection.

Before installing an iOS app #
Stego can install .ipa files signed with the In-House (Enterprise) method.
After installing an .ipa file, trust the app on the iOS device before opening it.
- On the iOS device, open Settings.
- Go to General > VPN & Device Management.
- Select the installed app.
- Select Trust.
